London (United Kingdom) - winner
Paris (France) - lose in the final round IV
Madrid (Spain) - lose in third round
New York (USA) - lose in the second round
Moscow (Russia) - dropped out in the first round
Incredible is a lose of best prepared according to a report of the IOC-IO organization to Paris. Among the favourites belonged to the successful London and Madrid. Least chances to host the Games in 2012 had New York (a large distance from Europe) and Moscow (poor organization of the previous games in 1980).
